Small Business Saturday is the Saturday following Thanksgiving and Black Friday, and is a day dedicated to encouraging consumers to support smaller local businesses. In Carson Valley, the Chamber, Main Street Gardnerville and Main Street Minden promote this Shop Local effort.

Santa will be visiting with children and their families throughout the morning. Be sure to bring your camera!
Breakfast will consist of fluffy pancakes with syrup, sausage, orange juice and coffee.
Tickets are $5 per person, and can be purchased through the Town Office when they become available in November. Seating is limited and tickets go fast!

Join us for our annual Holiday Gala on Saturday, December 5th. Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. and include The Gallery of Trees, Santa’s Cookie Shop, Gingerbread Houses on Display and Selfies with Santa. Finish the day by watching the Parade of Lights from our front lawn, arrive before the roads close at 4:00 p.m. and the parade starts at 5:00 p.m. Free Admission. Also, enjoy 10% off at the bookstore (DCHS Members get a 20% discount).
DCHS is putting out the call to ALL the cookie bakers ~ Santa’s Cookie Shop is one of their largest fundraisers of the year and they hope that you can contribute. Call the front desk at (775) 782-2555 to sign up.
The Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 25th Annual Parade of Lights is Saturday, December 5th. Join in for this fun and beautiful family friendly event! The Towns of Gardnerville and Minden, along with Main Street Gardnerville, will come together to support this event. The announcing stand and parade judges will be located at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, and the Douglas County Historical Society has a fun-filled day planned for you as well. The parade runs from Heritage Park in Gardnerville, down Hwy. 395 to Minden Park.
